I stand in this world, a cartesian place,
A ghostly white axis cuts the night overhead.
A thousand and twenty-four stars shine in space,
Most of them white, just a few of them red.
The planets trace orbits round a faceted sun,
Rotated, translated and scaled in size.
The galaxies turn and the asteroids run
As my world is transformed right infront of my eyes...
And we go...
(Begin points)
Vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex
Vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex
Vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex vertex
Vertex vertex vertex vertex end!
The room that I'm in has a texture-mapped floor
And eight lights that shine on a table and chair.
Applying a matrix to open the door
A model walks in, there's a shine on her hair.
I transform my eye-point to lookat her face
She's a - shaded lady from some memory heap;
With my eye and a sigh I go round to her place
But I shouldn't pick her cos she's only skin deep.
And we go...
(Begin triangle strip)
Normal vertex vertex normal vertex vertex normal vertex
Vertex normal vertex vertex normal vertex vertex normal
Vertex vertex normal vertex vertex normal vertex vertex
Normal vertex vertex vertex end!
I'm stirring the mouse and my Harrier flies
Over mountains and cities and fractal domains,
My frustum diverges through alpha-pink skies
With billboarded clouds over depth-cued terrains.
The frame-rate is great thanks to - vector thrust
But flying by rodent is really a pain;
A mountain approaches, avoid it I must.
But collision's detected, and I see stars again...
And we go...
(Begin triangles)
Color normal vertex vertex vertex color normal vertex
Vertex vertex color normal vertex vertex vertex color
Normal vertex vertex vertex color normal vertex vertex
Vertex vertex vertex vertex end!
